Filled with opportunities for experiential learning and tasting, kindergarten and grade 1 students have fun exploring a variety of foods and new food experiences.

About Food Explorers

The Food Explorers program will expose kindergarten and grade 1 students to concrete, first-hand experiences with food, focusing on the mysteries of tastes, textures and colours of food. The goal of the program is to encourage students to try new foods and to eat a wide variety of foods. Research has shown that the more foods an individual is familiar with, the more varied their diet will be.

The big idea? Students come to see themselves as someone who enjoys trying new foods and new food experiences!
