About the Loyalty Grant
Nüton Nutrition Education and the School Milk Program believe in recognizing schools for their dedication to student health and learning through the provision of meal and snack programs and participation in complementary school nutrition initiatives. Your school may be eligible to apply for a grant to support your school’s ongoing commitment to student nutrition.
Many meal and snack programs, especially in the second half of the school year, experience a gap in funds to purchase food and supplies that many students rely on to maintain nutritional health. Therefore, Nüton Nutrition Education and the School Milk Program are excited to offer the 2nd annual Loyalty Grant to help fill the need for additional funds. The Loyalty Grant is a top-up for schools who offer a meal and snack program funded through the support of a Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba (CNCM) grant, and who also participate in Nüton nutrition education programs as well as the School Milk Program.
By the end of the 2022 school year, we hope to assist 20 schools that are already using CNCM funding with up to $250 top-up grants to support their meal and snack programs. For example, grants can be used for: Food, milk, and/or meal and snack program supplies (I.e., utensils, dishes, disposables, soap, cooking equipment, etc.).

More about Nüton & the School Milk Program
Nüton Nutrition Education Programs
The registered dietitians at Nüton provide training and resources to Manitoba educators (I.e., teachers, early childhood educators) so they can help children develop positive relationships with foods by using experience-based learning to explore a variety of foods. Find out more here: https://nuton.ca/about/
School Milk Program
The School Milk Program (SMP) complements nutrition education and supports comprehensive school health by encouraging a nutritious food environment in schools. Schools on the Milk Program ensure students have access to milk at lunch. The SMP is not a nourishment program and does not subsidize milk.
