- Power to Play
Training | Grade 2 – 3
We are going through a “growth spurt”!
Hello Power to Play educator!
We are re-developing our Grade 2-3 Power to Play program. This growth spurt may take a couple of years to get the final programs how we want them, and most importantly, how YOU want them.
What should you do with your current Power to Play program?
You can still use them in your classroom. However, we anticipate our new program will be quite different. If you haven’t already, check out this page to see how you can use Nüton programs with Canada’s food guide https://nuton.ca/not-sure-how-to-use-your-nuton-program-with-canadas-new-food-guide/
In the meantime, we won’t leave you high and dry. Come early 2020, we will be providing in-serviced teachers with interim lesson plans to use with grades 2-3 while we work behind-the-scenes on our new programs. We will let you know as soon as these lesson are ready for you to use.
What will we be doing behind-the-scenes, you ask?
The biggest change to our programs is that we will be simplifying the content to reflect who we are at the core and to help support you better in the classroom. Talk about coming of age! More about our core values here https://nuton.ca/about/
What about workshops and student field trips?
We will be placing a hold on full-day Grade 2-3 teacher workshops until 2020. However, we recommend that you sign-up for a 1-hour lunch and learn called Navigating School Lunches.
Contact us for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org to book a workshop.
If you teach K-1, Grade 5, 6, or 8, you can register for a workshop for any of the pre-determined dates, or request a PD workshop at your school.
Thank you for your support of Nüton nutrition education programs!
Teachers like you make a difference in the lives of students through nutrition education. You are awesome.
